The main objective of the project is the development of alternative preservatives for water-based paints, based on natural antimicrobial peptides and metabolites from bacteria and microalgae, whose effectiveness has already been proven in other sectors such as medical, pharmaceutical, food and cosmetic.
As a final result, a new range of paints will be developed, based on these new conservation systems, as an improvement to the already existing BioFilmStop range, for use mainly in food industries, this being extrapolated to others.
