The project adopts a collaborative approach, integrating the participation of key entities committed to transforming the agri-food ecosystem towards a more sustainable model. To this end, CNTA will lead ongoing interaction with research teams inside and outside the EU, fostering synergies and leveraging collective knowledge to ensure that the proposed solutions are based on impartial and up-to-date data. Through active involvement of multiple key actors, FEASTS aims to facilitate transparency and accessibility of information for consumers, as well as to create guidelines for farmers and aquafarmers to develop new business models.
The FEASTS consortium, led by the Instituto Superior Técnico of Portugal (IST-ID), includes 36 participants and is funded by the Horizon Europe program. The project will run from 2023 to 2026, with the vision of providing innovative solutions that improve the sector’s competitiveness in Europe and contribute to the sustainable transformation of the global food system.
